CLUBS in the BetVictor Southern League and below will not play again this season following an announcement from the Football Association.
The 2019/20 campaigns will see their results expunged, with no promotion or relegation between steps three (BetVictor Southern League Premier) and six (Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One).
Ascot United were the biggest losers from the decision, as they were leading the Combined Counties League Premier Division by nine points.
In Division One, Sandhurst Town were seventh and Eversley & California 18th.
Bracknell Town – who looked on course for an Isthmian League South Central Division play-offs spot after a brilliant run under Bobby Wilkinson – will also feel hard done by, while second-placed Binfield miss out on a title challenge in the Hellenic League Premier Division.
Wokingham & Emmbrook's promotion hopes from Division One East are also ended.
All grassroots football is also concluded, after the sport was brought to a halt by the coronavirus pandemic.
An FA statement read: "Today’s steps take into account the financial impact during this uncertain period, whilst considering the fairest method on how the sporting outcomes for the season will be decided with the integrity of the leagues in mind."
On grassroots football, county FAs will work with affected leagues to determine how to finish the competitions.
