Bracknell will soon be home to its first padel centre, as Padel4all, the UK’s leading covered court padel operator, sets to open a new site at Bracknell Leisure Centre this winter.
Padel, a hybrid of tennis and squash, is currently the world's fastest-growing sport, with endorsements from celebrities such as David Beckham, Pep Guardiola, and Serena Williams.
The new centre will feature four state-of-the-art outdoor, covered padel courts, and it will mark a significant milestone in Padel4all's aim to build the largest network of canopy covered padel centres in the UK.
The game is played on an enclosed court similar in size to a singles tennis court and is usually played in doubles.
The rules and scoring are the same as tennis, but serving is underarm, and the ball can be bounced off the walls.
The padel rackets are made of high-density foam, and the balls are similar to tennis balls.
The Padel4all team plans to offer extensive coaching programs, introductory courses for beginners, and community outreach initiatives to promote the sport in Bracknell and make it accessible to all.
The new Bracknell centre will offer both "Pay and Play" packages and an affordable PadelPlus membership, which includes benefits such as discounted court fees and a 14-day priority booking period.
Padel4all already operates a national suite of sites across the UK, and they have plans to open a centre in Eastbourne this winter alongside the Bracknell site.
Christopher Wilkinson, CEO and Founder of Padel4all, expressed excitement about building a centre in Bracknell and introducing the fast-growing sport to the local community.
The company will be working with the Everyone Active team at Bracknell Leisure Centre, who are dedicated to providing sporting opportunities to the community.
Duncan Jefford, Regional Director at Everyone Active, believes that padel tennis will be embraced by the local community, as it is a fun and inclusive sport for all ages and abilities.
Bracknell Forest Council is also thrilled to welcome this unique sport to the residents of Bracknell Forest.
Damian James, assistant director for contract services at the council, stated that beginners need not worry, as Padel4all will be offering training courses to help people build their skills and make the sport accessible to all.
With the launch of Bracknell’s first padel centre, local communities will have the opportunity to experience this inclusive sport.
The new centre will provide state-of-the-art facilities, coaching programs, and a range of membership options to make padel accessible to everyone.
With the support of the local community and the facilities offered by Bracknell Leisure Centre, padel is set to thrive in Bracknell Forest.
