A new community playground has just opened at Payley Park in North Wokingham.
Pupils from Years 3 and 4 at St Cecilia's Church of England Primary School were thrilled to be the first to play on the new swings, slides, and zip line.
The Headteacher of St Cecilia's Richard Thomas said: "The children had a wonderful morning meeting the Mayor and playing on the new equipment - I'm sure it will continue to be well used.”
The Mayor of Wokingham Beth Rowland cut the ribbon at a ceremony on October 16 which was attended by a number of residents and their young children.
The playground, built by Vistry’s contractor PFL Group, boasts equipment aimed at all ages. These include "nest" swings, rocking seats on springs, and a ship with a slide.
Older children can enjoy a rope climbing frame, a larger slide, and a zip wire as well as a multi-use games area suitable for ball games.
